Meet the team...

We're all equal and all have a part to play

People are involved is so many important ways at the Tab using the many different gifts God has given. We believe every part of the body has a part to play.

Barnaby Monteiro - Pastor    Richard Brunton - Elder

Barnaby joined the leadership of Lancing Tab in February 2021.  He loves to help people discover life in Jesus and the Bible.  Before this he did outreach in schools, with university students, then served as an assistant minister.  He's married to Tessa, and they have three children.

Richard was 13 years old when he first found Christ and began to share the news. In 1994 his heart for mission led to the founding of Living Hope Ministries.  He’s often online preaching to churches across Africa. Click HERE for more information on Living Hope.

Roland   Dave
Roland Christopher - Elder    Dave Hart - Elder

Roland has been coming to the church since Sunday school days! He is interested in all matters related to engineering and can think of nothing better than an evening relaxing in front of an Excel spreadsheet.

Dave is married to Karen. He loves to get to know, work alongside and encourage people of all ages.  Dave often reminds us on 1 John 4.11 “since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”

John Manea - Elder    Jamie Atallah - Elder

John came to faith as a boy in Romania.  He helps manage a Christian care home, has two small children, and leads a home group.  Life is busy but rich.

Jamie is married to the quietly amazing Ellie and has four children who are the bee's knees.  He is currently trying to soak up the wisdom and humility of the other elders.  Jamie is sure of his Christianity because it depends entirely on Jesus and has absolutely nothing to do with Jamie.  If you are what you eat he is 94% chocolate.

Paul keeps the accounts up to date; he is also involved with all the technical aspects of the church.  He has a keen interest in cakes and often seen out sampling them.

Having retired from careers in both Engineering and Legal, Steve enjoys hobbies of photography, golf and music and he is also a governor at a local church primary school. In addition to helping in the various technical aspects of the church, Steve is involved with the music and enjoys encouraging the ‘next generation’ of musicians and singers.

Barnaby 4 Hello, my name is Barnaby, and I am the Pastor here at Lancing Tab. The aim of this website is just to give you a flavour of who we are and what we're about as a church.

We’re a church for the whole community in and around Lancing. Come as you are whatever doubts and questions you have.

icon3 As a church family, we all face different challenges, but we believe the Bible’s message about Jesus’ love and rescue are what we most need.

icon2 We meet at our building on North Road (next to the Co-op) at 10.30am each Sunday. It’s free and informal with tea, coffee, and kids’ groups.

Sundays...

SundayWEC

Our 10:30am service is simple and informal and normally runs for just over an hour. People wear anything from T-shirts to suits. You are welcome to bring kids of any age.

We do the following:
  • Share news – because we’re a family.
  • Sing – because we love God.
  • Confess sin – because we don’t want to pretend, we’re anything but people in need of grace.
  • Look at the Bible – because that’s how we listen to God.
  • Pray – to ask God for his help.
  • We might have a baptism or take the Lord’s supper - to celebrate Jesus’ rescue.
  • We have coffee afterwards - to take real time together.

What about my kids?

kids

We love having the noise of lively children – so don’t worry!   They stay for the first 15 minutes of the service and then head to some excellent groups.  (Link to Itab) Creche (0-3), 4-10s group, and 11-15s group.   Older teens stay in the service.

Children stay with their parent or grown-up at the start of the service for the welcome, songs and notices. We really value worshipping God all together as a family. At the end of the notices someone will announce that it’s time for the younger members to go to their various groups.

The kids group activities vary depending on the age but usually there is a friendly welcome, bible stories, testimonies, praying, music, craft, drama, fun games, and free play. Please pick your children up as soon as the service finishes.

If you want to get involved in the life of the church and help us make Sundays run smoothly, you can sign up to serve on a team.
